For this position, we are specifically looking for a back-end engineer to help us create the backbone of our interactive products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or similar
- 1-4 years of full-time software development experience, primarily back-end or systems development
- Experience with REST/JSON and API development
- Experience with source control and managed releases
- Experience designing relational database schemas
- Strong affinity for statistics, analytics and complex systems
- Hunger to learn and master new technologies on a frequent basis
Optional Requirements:
- Experience leveraging high-performance, scalable backend systems
- Knowledge of caching strategies
- Visual Studio Team Services
- Interest in machine learning, deep learning and big data
- Interest in sports, streaming, visualizations and gambling
Responsibilities:
- Develop custom software solutions for mass-scale usability
- Extend and create backend systems to ingest, marry and surface data
- Perform iterative testing and improvement cycles for optimal code and performance
- Develop software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation
- Maintain and improve existing products incorporating analysis and feedback
- Participate in product brainstorming sessions
- Stay current on software development practices and the technology industry
- Stay current on sports and entertainment products, topics and trends
- Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
